New 2024 Audi A7 Hybrid Engine, Price – With the 2024 model year, Audi’s A7 PHEV returns after a successful introduction in 2017. As with the previous year’s model, the chassis and interiors have been carried over to the 2024 model. The U.S. News and World Report named the 2023 A7 PHEV “The best Luxury Plug-In Hybrid,” We expect the 2024 MY to keep that position. The Premium Plus and Prestige trims of the Audi A7 plug-in hybrid will be available for $75,900 and $81,250, respectively.
The battery, tires, and overall safety have all been improved in the 2024 A7 PHEV. This larger battery is also eligible for a $7,500 tax credit. Using a 48-volt mild hybrid system and a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine, the A7 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and returns an impressive 27 miles per gallon on the highway. Comfortable interiors and an eye-catching exterior complete the package. The BMW 7-Series Hybrid and the Porsche Panamera 4E Hybrid are only two of Audi’s rivals in the PHEV market for 2024.
New 2024 Audi A7 Hybrid Redesign
The 2024 A7 PHEV’s Fastback design has always been innovative. The iconic front grille is much larger, and the matrix LED lights are even more slender and precise. A closer inspection reveals a new look for the grille vents for the fog lights. As aerodynamic and fluid as a four-door sedan can be, the side profile culminates in a streamlined tail end. Several metallic paint colors are available for the Audi A7; most are neutral.
The full-length tail light produces a different animation every time you put your foot into the automobile. The turn lights include Audi’s distinctive dynamic illumination. The car’s athletic aspect is enhanced by adding 20-inch wheels, which fill out the wheel arches. The S line body package for the A7 PHEV includes a motorized tailgate, retractable rear spoiler, disguised exhaust outlets, and heated/powered wing mirrors.
Interior
The Audi A7 PHEV’s cabin, due in 2024, will be one of the most technologically advanced, well-built, and sumptuous in its segment. A slew of vibrant touchscreen panels dominates the inside of the cabin. Several digital screens go along with the dark wood and leather. Brush metal inlays and gloss black panels are used liberally throughout. A panoramic sunroof and broad windows give the interior a sense of openness. Black, Okapi Brown, and Pearl Beige are the three color options for the inside. Ash-colored wood inlays complete the look. On the Prestige trim, ambient lighting is enhanced, and a multi-color option is provided.
BMW and Audi are fierce rivals in the luxury market. The Porsche has a large cabin, but no measurements are available to compare it to other vehicles. On the other hand, the BMW sputters along with more headroom in the back. This is because the fastback design of the Audi reduces headroom for third-row passengers. Fortunately, the A7’s enormous 21.6 cu-ft. Trunk compensates for the lack of legroom in the Panamera and 7 Series.
Engine
Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 and a 48-volt mild hybrid system, the Audi A7 Plug-in Hybrid will have 362 horsepower. As a result, the Plug-in Hybrid has an extra 27 horsepower compared to the pure gas counterpart. Seven-speed DCT transfers the power. The AWD Quattro powertrain and multi-link suspension are standard equipment on both trims, ensuring excellent handling and stability. The all-electric range of the 17.9 kWh battery is 26 miles. However, it is still half a second slower than its non-hybrid version when accelerating from zero to 60 mph. The bigger battery pack may be responsible for this decrease in performance. All four corners of the A7 PHEV are equipped with disc brakes.
Their performance estimates are also vastly different because of the price gap between the A7 and its competitors. After a closer inspection, it becomes clear that the Audi lags considerably behind the competition, even though it has the same horsepower. As a result, the Audi A7 PHEV isn’t the fastest vehicle. Unlike Audi’s A4, Porsche’s Panamera clocks in a 1.5-second quicker 0-60 MPH sprint than the German car.
New 2024 Audi A7 Hybrid Price and Release Date
Trim levels include Premium Plus and Prestige. The 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 with a 48-volt hybrid system and a 7-speed DCT gearbox is standard on both vehicles. Both grades have an S-line exterior package and 20-inch twin-arm design wheels. The exterior may be further enhanced with the $1,000 Black Optic Package.
