Regarding acceleration, the A3 benefits from the MHEV system, which offers 12 horsepower and 37 lb-ft of torque. A turbocharged engine generally suffers from turbo lag, but the mild-hybrid system tries to alleviate the sucky lag feeling by torque filling. While the turbocharger is spooling up, the electric power is doing the hard work.
Regarding the gearbox, we’re still big fans of Audi’s seven-speed DCT. When driving in a sporty way, the dual clutches let you change gears more quickly than most traditional gearboxes. Because it moves smoothly and without jarring in typical usage, the DCT is likely to go unnoticed by most purchasers.
2024 Audi A3 Release Date and Price
The premium model of the Audi A3 costs $33,900. The MSRP of the Premium Plus is $37,200. $41,200 is the asking price for a top-of-the-line Prestige model. Two thousand dollars are added to the cost when Quadro is included. These prices do not have the $1,045 delivery fee.
